Just like any other game Final Fantasy XIII will get an Collector’s Edition. But before you go all nuts thinking you will have life sized Snow characters to play around with, I sadly must say the Collector’s Edition is rather boring. You get the soundtrack, and a few cards with FF13 motives. And of course a different cover on your game. That’s about it :/
This edition will be available on both PS3 & Xbos 360.
Collector’s and Limited Editions comes with pretty much every game release now days, But some of this rare things sometime really stand out. Next in line is God of War III – Ultimate Edition, Which got me excited since in a few weeks i finally will get my Playstation 3. So what does this edition include?

• High-End Sculpted Replica of Pandora’s Box
• Limited-Edition God of War Art Book featuring exclusive art, content and interviews
Exclusive Digital Content

They’re not joking when they call it a collector’s edition. There are only 30,000 worldwide and the quality of it is just perfect. THIS is how a collector’s edition in a wooden box should look like. Not like the Far Cry 2 “Wooden” box. I got this baby yesterday and I’ve only played a bit since my job schedule suck ass this week but I’m liking the game so far I’ll probably put up a review when I’m done with it, who knows? But for now, just look at the awesomeness that is the Anno 1404 Collector’s edition.
Robert Bowling over at Infinity Ward had a nice little surprise for us all. Last week he updated his twitter feed with “In final design meeting for the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition (CE). Filming unboxing video of what it contains this weekend!” And now the video is up, And what can i say? I so want this Prestige Edition!!! Good job Infinity Ward!
Robert Bowling ( FourZeroTwo on Twitter ) posted a picture of the box art of Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2. I am surprised to see the Call of Duty logo on it, Due to the fact that Infinity Ward wanted to push away from the CoD name. But guess they finally realized that the name Call of Duty is a name that sells games!
It also seems that Robert Bowling will be filming an unboxing video of the collector’s edition ( Prestige Edition in this case ) this weekend. Looking forward to see what goodies we will get.
Today it arrived, a few weeks too late but hey, now I can enjoy the replays of the game even more.
The figurine was the exact same kind as I got on the release day from the store but this one didn’t have the chocolaty-chin look. The patch is an actual patch unlike the Halo Wars rubber “patch” (or maybe I just red the descriptions wrong). The bag is made of 100% cotton but doesn’t feel like it will survive a zombie outbreak for very long. It’s very nice for other things though, like packing a few games and walking around with them looking cool with your tri-cell bag. The game comes in a steelbook case which is very nice and there’s a bonus disc too.
It arrived in near perfect condition, but that was hardly the sellers fault. Some asshole managed to squeeze the box the seller packed it in, and he packed it very nicely for that matter. The outer box could have been a little thicker though as the edges will probably be worn out after a while. So, was it worth the huge amount of cash to ship it from the states to sunny Sweden? Yes. It was.
If you are a registered user at Ubisoft, You will receive a e-mail where they ask what you want in Collector’s Editions, The survey don’t take that long and you get to fill in things such as Figurines, T-Shirts, Steel Boxes ect. So does this mean we can expect a Collector’s Edition of every Ubisoft game now? Well i must say i would like to have another statue to keep Altaïr company when Assassin’s Creed 2 arrives
