The retail chain HMV have grabbed the exclusive rights for Modern Warfare 2 – Prestige Edition ( The NVG goodness ). But this is of course for residents in the United Kingdom.
I said it before, and i say it again,  Retail Exclusivity Is Bullshit!
Don’t be surprised if GameStop tried this in other countries.

Robert Bowling over at Infinity Ward had a nice little surprise for us all. Last week he updated his twitter feed with “In final design meeting for the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition (CE). Filming unboxing video of what it contains this weekend!” And now the video is up, And what can i say? I so want this Prestige Edition!!! Good job Infinity Ward!

Robert Bowling ( FourZeroTwo on Twitter ) posted a picture of the box art of Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2. I am surprised to see the Call of Duty logo on it, Due to the fact that Infinity Ward wanted to push away from the CoD name. But guess they finally realized that the name Call of Duty is a name that sells games!

It also seems that Robert Bowling will be filming an unboxing video of the collector’s edition ( Prestige Edition in this case ) this weekend. Looking forward to see what goodies we will get.

E3 is now just one week away, But in order for us to make it one more week Infinity Ward have now released the reveal trailer of Modern Warfare 2. I suggest you don’t plan anything in November and December, Since you will be busy playing this game online. Christmas? Santa? *pew pew* Tango Down.

Treyarch are now working on the next installment in the Call of Duty series, While Infinity Ward seems to have dropped the connection to the Call of Duty series with their Modern Warfare 2, Treyarch still carries the torch. If you like me are bored to death with games related to World War 2 you might want to keep you eyes on Treyarch next game, Since it now seems like they are going forward some years and their next Call of Duty will be about the Vietnam War. I am really looking forward to the change of scenery ( You can only assault Berlin so many times ).

Hopefully we will hear more about this game during E3.

If you been playing some Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare lately you might have notice the increase in cheaters, Even we at ButtonMashers experienced this during the weekend. But now Infinity Ward have rolled out a patch that takes care of the hackers. So now you can go back and enjoy the game, I know i will.

Call of Duty  - Modern Warfare have been out for a damn long time now, But there have always been 1 achievement in the game that have been bugging me and that’s the Mile High Club. 
To get this achievement you have to complete the epilogue in under 1 minute on veteran difficulty. But last night i decided to play some Modern Warfare multiplayer, But when i was about to pick multiplayer in the menu i just decided to trash my multiplayer plan and try and get the last achievements in this game, And 1 hour later my gamer card read 1000/1000 in Modern Warfare, So now i am officially done with this game ( well i need to reach the last prestige before Modern Warfare 2 ).

A picture that is supposed to be “leaked footage from Modern Warfare 2 beta” has been floating around the web, Infinity Ward have stated on their Twitter page that it’s is indeed a fake. 
Their respond on Twitter was “BEFORE this even becomes a news story (because I know it will) THIS IS A FAKE. A well done fake, but still fake. Sorry”

Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2 wasn’t the only CoD game we would hear about at GDC. Another surprise is that the very first Call of Duty will this summer be available for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 via their downloadable services ( PSN & Marketplace ). No price or real date have been announced at this point. If you never played the game that started the series i highly recommend getting this when it is released, And for you who did play it… You know you want to relive it
