Fallout 3, Mothership Zeta. Info and Screens

July 14th, 2009

New information and screenshot from the next downloadable content Mothership Zeta for Fallout 3 have been released. In orbit over the Capital Wasteland is where you can find Mothership Zeta. How do you get form Earth to the spaceship you might ask? Well there is a crashed UFO in the Capital Wasteland. No longer will this serve as one damn cool easter egg, But it’s also here you will get beamed up to the mothership. Aboard the alien craft you will be able to find other people in the same situation as you, Join forces and try to get back to earth. Along with new weapons ( Ammo for my Alien Blaster! FINALLY! ) you will also be able to claim some sweet threads, Does a Samurai Armor appeal to you? Of course it does!.

The release date for Mothership Zeta is August 3 and will cost the normal amount of 800 MS points. There is a Playstation 3 version on the way, But will be released at a later time.

So is this the final DLC we will see of Fallout 3? Mike Fahey over at Kotaku manage to get this from Pete Hines, - “Never say never, I suppose, but this was always the last one we had planned to do.”.  So there is still hope for us who wanna continue our struggle in the wasteland.

Bethesda’s New Game

May 29th, 2009

It’s been known for a long long time that Bethesda ( Elder Scrolls series, Fallout 3 ) have been working on a secret project. The game people wanted to see was a follow-up to Elder Scrolls IV – Oblivion. But the new installment of the Elder Scrolls wasn’t what Bethesda been working on. Yesterday ( or today if you don’t live in the US ) GameTrailers TV announced on Spike during their pre-E3 special the new game from Bethesda along with a short teaser trailer. Brink is the name, a complete new IP from Bethesda. Sure some people may cry out in rage due to their hopes of a new Elder Scrolls got shattered, But hey.. You get your fantasy dose with Dragon Age: Origins.

Fallout 3 – Broken Steel, Info and Screens

April 22nd, 2009

Bethesda have released 6 new screens from their third expansion to Fallout 3 called Broken Steel. This expansion will remove the ending of the original main quest so you will be able to continue after the “final showdown” at Project Purity. Level cap will be increased to 30 instead of the previous cap at 20, New perks and monsters will be introduced.

But here is the thing that worries me about Broken Steel, Apparently Broken Steel main quest is “a bit” longer than The Pitt.
which Bethesda claimed would take about 4 hours to complete. Well sure it “could” take 4 hours if you hunted the 100 steel ingots. But say if you passed the ingots you might get 1 hour out of The Pitt. Let’s just hope the 4-5 hours of gameplay Bethesda claims Broken Steel will have is true, and not sending you to find 100 of something else.
Broken Steel is schedule to be released on May 5 and will sell for 800 Microsoft Points.

Fallout 3 patched and date for expansion set

January 14th, 2009

I love Fallout 3, if you ask me it was the Game of the Year 2008. Anyways Fallout 3 have not gotten a patch to fix some issues.

Fixes are for all platforms ( Playstation 3, Xbox 360 & PC )

Not only do we get this patch, but Bethesda also released date for the expansion Operation: Anchorage. In the expansion you move over to Alaska where you fight the communist China.
So it will be one hell of a change in scenery, we get to play in the snow! The expansion hits January 27 for Xbox 360 & PC and will cost 800 Microsoft points. If you wonder how big the expansion is it won’t be any “Shivering Isle*” expansion, but more of a “Knights of the Nine*”
