No Half-Life 2010…

January 21st, 2010

Well this news really don’t surprise any of us, But there will be no Half-Life game coming out this year, So yet again we have another new year and no Episode 3. Question is if Half-Life 2: Episode 3 will ever see the light of day, Seeing how things look now we kinda doubt it. Maybe we just get a Half-Life 3 instead? But knowing Valve maybe they announce it this E3, but keep delaying the game for a decade, Guess they are way to busy working on Left 4 Dead 3? But right now i don’t care anymore, totally lost interest in anything “Half-Life”.

Moments in gaming: Your first Baldur’s Gate II Dragon battle

November 15th, 2009

You’ve been playing this awesome game for a while now. You’ve ventured far into this dungeon and It’s been so long ago I don’t remember if I was there to actually kill the dragon or if he was there while I was just passing through. And then you enter this round room, and there he is. Your first dragon, and I think you talk a bit with him first. And then… your first dragon battle. With the most awesome music ever found in a game(probably).

LINK TO MUSIC

If there ever was something to measure how epic something is, it’s that song in that battle. If you’ve played it you know what I mean. If you haven’t, then I’m so sorry for you and I recommend you play Baldur’s gate 2 from the beginning until you get to the dragon and you’ll know what I mean.

I managed to find all the wav’s that makes a whole song and put them together back when I was playing. It’s really smart how they created “lego” pieces of the music you can just build together. One of the best games ever? You bet.

The Calm Before The Storm

November 8th, 2009

So on Friday i saw that my copy for Modern Warfare 2 was shipped, So if i am lucky tomorrow when the mailman comes by i will find a wonderful package. Downside is that i will have to camp the damn mailbox, since it’s pretty fucking small, And when Dragon Age: Origins arrived last week it was just pure luck i meet the mailman, since he couldn’t fit the package. So guess i’ll bring out a chair, and really camp the mailbox….Not fun.

So what to do today? The day before all hell breaks loose with Modern Warfare 2?. It’s time to replay  Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare. And it will be grand!

Aion madness

September 28th, 2009

So the game is released and seems to be more popular than the community thought. I for one love the game so far, and I can even manage to play it solo without being bored to death since my ingame friend levelled past me like a madman. It runs smoother than a baby’s bottom and it’s the most finished MMO I’ve ever played at release. I’ve yet to encounter any bug… ANY bug at all! No crashes, No server downtime, No bugs in-game and a steady FPS everywhere but in the most crowded areas in the cities. But there’s just one thing…

Server is full. Position in queue:

1966/1966

Estimated waiting time: 1hr 58min

Sigh..

Seek & Destroy (No, it’s not metallica)

September 10th, 2009

A few years ago I was all about buying magazines with demo discs and one of the hundreds of discs I managed to collect held a gem of a game, at least the shareware version of it. If you’ve ever played Seek & Destroy chances are you agree with me but you don’t know where to find it. Neither did I until I searched for about ten minutes(!?) and found a possible candidate. It wasn’t from the outdated EPIC Classics store but from swedens answer to ebay called Tradera(Ebay actually bought them a few years ago but let them keep doing what they do).

The only problem was that they didn’t show any screenshots from the game or provided any information about developer or publisher so it was all or nothing (it was only about 3 $ so no biggie) and it turned out that it was the game I was looking for. I’m planning on writing a little piece about it later on but for now you’ll have to settle with a screen and photos of the gamebox if you feel like buying it yourself. I’ve seen some on ebay so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Dragon Age: Origins, Delayed

August 8th, 2009

Next in line for this “Delayed Game Fad” is BioWare with their dark fantasy game Dragon Age: Origins. The game was supposed to hit the store shelfs. But at least we’re not talking about a huge delay, Instead of being released late October the game is coming out early November ( Hey! Just in time for Modern Warfare 2……)
