Zelda For The Wii, At E3

February 2nd, 2010

Been a lot of rumors floating around as of late regarding the next installment of The Legend of Zelda series. First we heard that is was coming out this year, Then that “Zelda for the Wii won’t see the light of day until it’s perfect”. But now we finally got an announcement that Nintendo will show the game at E3 this year. I still have no clue what we will see, Nintendo tends to change Link for every game they make, But please no wolf this time?  Oh yeah, No damn Tingle either!

Zelda Wii, Coming 2010! *update*

January 8th, 2010

During E3 2009 we where hoping to have a real announcement followed by a trailer for a Zelda title for Wii, We where let down and all we where given was concept art from what could be the games cover. Since E3 all we heard is that Zelda for the Wii will have full support for Wii Motion Plus. But today we finally got word that Zelda will be released on the Wii during 2010, If what Satoru Iwata over at Nintendo said is true. But all we can now is wait, And hopefully see something from this highly anticipated title shown during GDC 2010.

Update: Reggie over at Nintendo America have now stated “Zelda for the Wii will see the light of day when it’s perfect“, Does this mean Zelda might end up in 2011? Only time will tell

Shopping Spree

December 4th, 2009

The holidays are closing in, And that means people are with their families and so on, This also often means that most shops are closed for a few days. So as a gamer who’s eager to play something new now is a great time to pick up some games so you will survive. As for me i went on a little shopping spree and picked up 5 new games.

Of course i needed something for the Wii so i picked up New Super Mario Bros, Mario Galaxy & Zelda: Twilight Princess. Since i only own a HDTV i had to buy the component cable for the Wii, Sure it helped a lot with the two Mario games, But damn, Zelda still looks like crap. Could be that it is an NGC port? I would love to enjoy this title, but kinda hard when it look so bad. Guess i just have to get well drunk and then play the game =).

And of course the Xbox 360 needed some love, for the Xbox 360 i picked up Ghostbusters & Brütal Legend. And damn was Ghostbusters a treat! Growing up with the movies the game hit just the right spot, Sure it was a kinda short game, But it’s a game i will revisit every time i re-watch the movies ( which happens like 10 times per year )

I cannot say much about Brütal Legend since it’s being installed to the 360 HDD while i write this post, But i will be sure to post my opinion about it sometime next week. Ohh, Installed just finished, Time to hit some Brütal Legend.

Finally a Wii!

November 21st, 2009

So the Wii have been out for years now, but yesterday i finally picked up my very first one, Went with the slick Limited Edition ( the black one )

Set everything up and was ready to play sum Wii Sports. But then i notice how fucking ugly the Wii looked on my HDTV, Nintendo SHOULD have put in a component cable in the package, So now i have to wait till monday till i can go pick up the new cable. I just hope it does the job :S

Still waiting for my order of games to arrive from Webhallen, since the Wii Sports games just don’t cut it for me =)

Next Zelda Requires Wii Motion Plus

June 15th, 2009

We kinda saw this one coming when we heard that Red Steel 2 requires the Wii Motion Plus. Many people where hoping to see a brand new Zelda game for the Wii at E3, But sadly we didn’t get to any trailer. But Shigeru Miyamoto have at least confirmed that a Zelda for the Wii is in development, And that it will require the Wii Motion Plus. So can we expect some precision sword play?
Only thing that have been released so far about the new title is a concept art picture.

Master Sword is a chick now?

New Super Mario Bros Announced (E3)

June 2nd, 2009

A New Super Mario Bros is coming to the Wii, It is a classic 2D sidescroller and it got 4 player co-op! Player 1 plays as Mario, Player 2 is the underdog Luigi, Player 3 is Toad and the player 4 is Toads retarded cousin or something. Good to see that 2D isn’t dead, Even on the next-gen systems.

Metroid: Other M Announced (E3)

June 2nd, 2009

When we saw new Mario games at Nintendos press conference we didn’t have any hopes for any other classic title. But we where waaaay wrong. A brand new Metroid was announced, And this time it’s not a FPS, And it’s not Retro Studios who’s behind it. Team Ninja, the creators of the Ninja Gaiden series are the developers for the new Metroid title which seems to use a third person hack & slash gameplay of sorts. Sure i have been praying for a new 2D Metroid for years now, But this got me really excited! Samus is back bitches!

Golden Sun Returns (E3)

June 2nd, 2009

We have been waiting for such a long time for a new game in the Golden Sun series. Golden Sun 1 & 2 was released on the Gameboy Advance, but then the series died down, A few teaser screenshot was shown long before the Nintendo DS was released but since then we haven’t heard a thing… Till now. Nintendo have now announced Golden Sun 3 for the Nintendo DS. I for one can’t wait till i get my hands on this title.

June 2nd, 2009
