Final Fantasy XIII – Collector’s Edition

January 23rd, 2010

Just like any other game Final Fantasy XIII will get an Collector’s Edition. But before you go all nuts thinking you will have life sized Snow characters to play around with, I sadly must say the Collector’s Edition is rather boring. You get the soundtrack, and a few cards with FF13 motives. And of course a different cover on your game. That’s about it :/

This edition will be available on both PS3 & Xbos 360.

The earthquake in Haiti causes so much devastation and suffering. We read about people not getting the help they need, Even children have sleep among corpses in the streets. Bungie, The creators of Halo started up a charity to aid the people of Haiti, And here is where you as a gamer comes into the picture. Starting tomorrow Wednesday, Go online and play Halo 3 or Halo: ODST with a certain emblem on your spartan / elite. The max amount of cash Bungie will donate is 77.000 dollars, So do your part and make sure they will donate the max amount.
The emblem you need to wear is a red heart with a white backround, And here is how you do it.

a. Press START
b. Select “SETTINGS” / “APPEARANCE”

Flu Season 2010

January 12th, 2010

I manage to avoid flu season 2009, But here i sit now with the flu. During the weekend i finally saw James Cameron’s Avatar in 3D, While this could be one of the best movies i have ever seen it was not all good, due to the fellow sitting next to me. Not only did he jump in his seat during every damn 3D effect in the movie “oh no! a tiny little bug in 3d! help!” But this bastard decided to sneeze on me. So i’m pretty damn sure this guy infected me with the dreaded flu. At least it’s just the normal flu and not the “oh so scary” swine flu. At least this gives me time to start up Darksiders, After finally completed Bayonetta ( damn it was good! )   So expect review up for Bayonetta & Darksiders end of this week, If i don’t drop dead that is.

Shopping Spree

December 4th, 2009

The holidays are closing in, And that means people are with their families and so on, This also often means that most shops are closed for a few days. So as a gamer who’s eager to play something new now is a great time to pick up some games so you will survive. As for me i went on a little shopping spree and picked up 5 new games.

Of course i needed something for the Wii so i picked up New Super Mario Bros, Mario Galaxy & Zelda: Twilight Princess. Since i only own a HDTV i had to buy the component cable for the Wii, Sure it helped a lot with the two Mario games, But damn, Zelda still looks like crap. Could be that it is an NGC port? I would love to enjoy this title, but kinda hard when it look so bad. Guess i just have to get well drunk and then play the game =).

And of course the Xbox 360 needed some love, for the Xbox 360 i picked up Ghostbusters & Brütal Legend. And damn was Ghostbusters a treat! Growing up with the movies the game hit just the right spot, Sure it was a kinda short game, But it’s a game i will revisit every time i re-watch the movies ( which happens like 10 times per year )

I cannot say much about Brütal Legend since it’s being installed to the 360 HDD while i write this post, But i will be sure to post my opinion about it sometime next week. Ohh, Installed just finished, Time to hit some Brütal Legend.

Finally a Wii!

November 21st, 2009

So the Wii have been out for years now, but yesterday i finally picked up my very first one, Went with the slick Limited Edition ( the black one )

Set everything up and was ready to play sum Wii Sports. But then i notice how fucking ugly the Wii looked on my HDTV, Nintendo SHOULD have put in a component cable in the package, So now i have to wait till monday till i can go pick up the new cable. I just hope it does the job :S

Still waiting for my order of games to arrive from Webhallen, since the Wii Sports games just don’t cut it for me =)

Pre-Order Madness – Battlefield: Bad Company 2

November 18th, 2009

Sure, Modern Warfare II was just released last week, But i am already looking forward to the next military first-person-shooter. ( still pissed about the cash i spent on the PISS poor game Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising ) Next in line Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The first Bad Company was an amazing game, sure i sucked at the multiplayer part but i still had a blast with it, But Modern Warfare 1 won the multiplayer part for me back then. This time around i doubt it will be the same. Kinda feels like Infinity Ward toyed around a tad too much with Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, The kill / death streaks sounded cool before the game shipped, But now they are rather annoying when i have gotten to play around with em. ( Damn you Juggernaut 2.0! ).

So me and Joakim have now pre-ordered Bad Company 2 ( Limited edition ), And we will keep our eyes on everything Dice will release about this game, and we try keep you all up to date.
Only a few months more until i can hopefully start to collect em dogtags again!

The Calm Before The Storm

November 8th, 2009

So on Friday i saw that my copy for Modern Warfare 2 was shipped, So if i am lucky tomorrow when the mailman comes by i will find a wonderful package. Downside is that i will have to camp the damn mailbox, since it’s pretty fucking small, And when Dragon Age: Origins arrived last week it was just pure luck i meet the mailman, since he couldn’t fit the package. So guess i’ll bring out a chair, and really camp the mailbox….Not fun.

So what to do today? The day before all hell breaks loose with Modern Warfare 2?. It’s time to replay  Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare. And it will be grand!

Ding!

November 8th, 2009

It’s been a long road, but today i finally dinged level 80 with my Shaman in World of Warcraft, Haven’t played WoW for a long time, but decided today to level up my Shaman before my game time runs out. And tomorrow it looks like my copy of Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 will arrive, so i won’t have time for anything else. I guess i will return to World of Warcraft when the next patch hits, The patch when we finally get to take down Arthas, aka The Lich King. So till then, Adios Azeroth!
